Our Garden Delight design features fracture-streamer glass
We named this valance design Garden Delight because the fracture-streamer glass reminds us of a garden. The color we use to trim the center glass typically is showcased within the fracture-streamer glass and helps to pull the design together.
We have also used fracture-streamer glass in the center of some of the Noah’s Arc valances we have created. You can find additional images of valances featuring fracture-streamer glass on the Noah’s Arc design page.
What is fracture-streamer glass?
Uroboros, the company that creates fracture-streamer glass, describes the creation process as follows: Fracture glass, or ‘Confetti’ is made from eggshell-thin blown shards or flakes of intensely colored glass fused to the bottom of sheets during the rolling process. The glass is used in backgrounds to imply small scale repetitions of foreground features such as leaves or flowers. Fracture-Streamer glass is fracture glass combined with hand-stretched streamers or strings of glass. The irregular shaped streamers typically suggest twigs or branches in the background.
